OH hiya! I’ve been a busy wee bee recently (uni has finished for the year so I’m working a lil’ bit more) but I managed to squeeze in a couple of mins to bake this banana and hazelnut loaf cake at the weekend and it turned out fab (if I do say so myself).
What’s this? Have I gone from constantly posting book reviews to constantly posting baking recipes? Who knows but we’re gonna go with it. I’m pretty okayish at baking cupcakes and cakes but bread is something I have never done before so I tried making soda farls the other day and they didn’t suck! Here’s what I did… Continue reading “Irish Soda Farls”
You’re probably thinking “holy shit is this chick still posting rubbish book reviews?” and the answer to that is yes, I am because I love a rubbish book review BUT I’m gonna give ya a wee break and post this absolutely ~amazing~ cupcake recipe instead. Enjoy! Continue reading “Mint Aero Cupcakes”
Who doesn’t love a cupcake and a cuppa in the evening, while watching your fave show on the telly? I love baking and Netflix have added all seasons of The Great British Bake Off so to say I’m living my best life would be an understatement. I have been absolutely addicted to it recently and it has really given me the ‘baking bug’. It’s the most wonderful time of the year… and probs the only time of the year when I can eat my entire body weight and more in food and treats and not feel guilty about it.
Baking is my fave, not just because you are always left with some sorta delicious creation, but I’m also quite good at it, if I do say so myself and it brings me a lot of enjoyment. So, I was hella bored and remembered about the wee icing Santa I bought a while back and couldn’t stand the thought of it going to waste. The result? A cute wee coconut Christmassy cake for the holiday season!
Halloween is literally just around the corner and that means it’s the perfect excuse to bake ~all~ the halloweeny treats your spooky lil’ heart desires. I made these delicious marshmallow squares for my fam as I can’t actually eat them myself but I was told they were super yummy. I got this recipe from the Nigella Lawson site and it worked a treat (no pun intended) although I did tweek it a bit so here’s my take on it.
Earlier in the week I took to a bit of baking. Why? Because it’s fun and delicious and I felt like it, that’s why. I was craving a sweet and yummy treat but we had nothing in the house that fit the bill (story of my life). This recipe made 11 big cupcakes (because that’s all the cupcake cases I had) and 7 tiny baby cupcakes.
Ever since day one, my blog has been ‘Lifestyle, Beauty, Travel and Food’ and I have never posted anything in the ‘Food’ category… until now. This is a suuuuuper simple recipe but its sooo delicious! These are simply Mars squares and, you guessed it, they’re Rice Krispy squares made with Mars bars… easy peasy! So lets get stuck in…
