Falling into Fall

The days are shorter, there’s a chill in the air and the leaves are changing to that beaut yellow and orange that we all know and love… yes, it’s autumn again!

Autumn and winter are by far my favourite times of the year. Don’t get me wrong, I love summer and spring as much as the next person, but the cosiness of autumn and winter is incomparable in my eyes.

Who wouldn’t love autumn? You get to layer your clothes again and you know you’ll absolutely rock that chunky knit sweater, knee-length coat and ultra-soft scarf. Fall fashion is amazing!

And what’s not to love about settling down in the evening, with a fire burning and seasonal movie on the TV (some faves include Coraline, IT and Hocus Pocus)?

Don’t even get me started on the candles! Autumn defo has some of the best scents out there to go along with the crisp feeling in the air. Give me all the cinnamon, wild cherry and pumpkin spice!

Also, two words: hot chocolate! Nothing warms my heart (and tummy) quite like a steamy cup of hot chocolate! My faves are the Billionaires Hot Chocolate from Costa and Holly’s Hot Chocolate from Blooming Tea! They’re soooo sweet and delicious, my mouth is watering just thinking about them!

Despite turning 20 this December, I’m still a complete sucker for festive décor. Umm hello… spooky bunting, ghost fairy lights and pumpkins galore! What’s not to love? I have been bestowed the honour of taking care of the festive decorations in my house (everyone loves them when they’re up, it’s getting them up that they seem to hate).

I frickin’ love Halloween, and autumn, and all things spooky and festive and ‘season appropriate’ because why the hell not?

What’s your favourite season? Have you decorated for Halloween?

Until next time…

    1. Thank you Karen! I actually didn’t edit these photos at all, they were all taken using an app called HUJI! I would 100% recommend it at this time of year, I’m obsessed and only take pictures using it now! Thank you, I hope your autumn is amazing and you’re Halloween is spooky and fabulous! x

  2. I love loved this post. Fall is my favorite season, and I definitely want to make some hot chocolate like the ones you’ve shown and add in those marshmallows, and is that cinnamon on top? Also, I love watching fall movies, and last week I just watched Coraline again 😉

    1. Thank you for your lovely comment! Fall is amazing, the colours alone make it one of my favourite times of the year! It’s not cinnamon, just a little bit of chocolate sprinkled on top, I usually leave adding cinnamon until Christmas time (with a dash of vanilla for extra sweetness)! Coraline is my all time favourite creepy movie!! x

      1. aw I see, I should give those a try then! And, yes! I always think it’s strange that it’s kind of advertised as a kid’s movie because it is really creepy!
