Recent Empties

Hello Everybody!

There is nothing quite as satisfying as finishing a whole tube of moisturiser or body wash (for me anyway) so what better way to showcase my love for using up all of a certain product than a recent empties post?

Okay, as you’re all probs aware (literally think my granny knows about this and she still has the first Nokia phone) Zoe Sugg AKA Zoella brought out a new beauty range this summer and I think I can speak for us all when I say we swooned. When she announced the Jelly and Gelato range I instantly wanted to buy it and low and behold I did. I picked up the Bath Milk and Bath Wafer from Superdrug because there’s nothing quite like relaxing in a hot bath after a long day. I’m always looking for new products to put in the bath (the way to my heart is through Lush bath bombs) so I obvs wanted to try these out. I was not disappointed with the Bath Milk. They come in this cute af tub and are all individually wrapped (I think you get 5 altogether) and the scent is elderflower and pomegranate… I don’t think I would have ever put these scents together,  but she did and, for me, it works. I’ve seen mixed reviews about this range but personally, I loved it. The scent really helped me unwind and relax and the Bath Milk left me feeling so soft afterwards!

Next we have these wee Ted Baker products. Not gonna lie, I was gifted these a loooong time ago for Christmas and just never got around to using them. I don’t know why it took me so long to use these, there was always just something else I wanted to use first. However, when I did finally give in and decide to crack these open, I was one happy chappy. I am not a sickly sweet scent kinda gal; I defo lean more towards the musky scents and this one was right up my street. The two products I have here are the Bath Foam and the Body Wash. Let me tell you something… this smell lingers. I was walking around my house hours after a shower/bath getting my fam to give me a sniff and the Bath Foam makes a colossal amount of bubbles (which the child in me appreciated very much). I 100% will not leave it as long to use these products if I happen to ever receive them again.

If you have ever worn fake tan before at any stage in your life, regardless of the amount you used or the shade or formulation, you will know what a bitch it is to get off. I have spent weeks walking around looking seriously ill because no matter what I tried, the damn stuff doesn’t ever wanna come off! Then I used the Soap and Glory Body Scrub and it works like a mf dream! Here’s what you do: shower, get out, rub this shiz all over your body until the wee ‘bits’ are nearly all gone, get back into the shower, wash off, done. It’s that simple and works wonders. This one is part of the Sugar Crush range that is lemon and lime scented, but I really hated the smell of it. It’s too overpowering for my liking, but I will defs repurchase the Body Scrub in the original scent.

Finally is this moisturiser. This moisturiser is actually a Superdrug brand: Simply Pure. I particularly like this brand and buy a lot of their products, mainly because they’re cheap, work well with my skin and they’re cruelty free. I struggled for a long time to find a moisturiser that works well with my skin (you either need a loan from the bank to buy a good one, or have to settle for a rubbish one) but this one gets a positive rating from me. It really hydrates your skin but doesn’t leave you feeling sticky and I found that it didn’t make me anymore oily than what I usually am anyway so I would highly recommend if you’re looking for a new moisturiser.

And that’s that! These have been the products that I’ve used up over the past few months (it actually takes me ages to finish a product so I was well chuffed when I saw these were all done at the same time- perf blog post opp).

Do you have any products to recommend I try out? What’s your opinion on the Jelly and Gelato range- lover or hater?

Until next time…

C.
