Today’s post isn’t going to be my ‘typical’ blog post. This is simply going to be a post telling you about my new blogging schedule. I’m currently studying for my A-Level exams. These are the hardest exams that I will ever do in my life (so I’m told by my teachers everyday) and I gotta say, I agree with them.
I thought transitioning from GCSE to A-Level was going be easy. I was going from studying 9 subjects to studying only 3… of course this was going to be easier, right?
Wrong. I am under so much pressure and stress from exam work. I spend all day and night after school making notes for sociology and all day at school making notes for health and social care in between classes. Basically, I’m just feeling a bit overwhelmed at the moment, and it’s impacting my blogging.
I want this blog to be something that brings me happiness, but at the minute, it’s not doing that. I feel guilty when I’m writing a blog because I feel like I should be making notes for my exams. I feel guilty when I’m making notes for exams because I’m neglecting my blog. It’s a vicious circle, and I’m stuck in the loop.
Therefore, I will no longer be posting on a Wednesday evening. I feel like if I can focus on school all throughout the week and make it my main priority then, I won’t feel guilty about giving myself weekends off to focus on my blog and myself.
Life is all about compromise. I hope you don’t mind that I’ve decided to make this change, but I feel as though my blog will benefit from posting one good quality post every Sunday morning, as opposed to two mediocre posts weekly.
Thank you all for understanding!
Until next time…
